HB Playdowns 7/8 December. Liz Cargill would now be unable to play so Rona was asked. Wednesday 7 at 3pm. Then Thursday at 9.30am and 2.30pm if successful!

President's Dinner - inquiry for availability of Bruntsfield Golf Club still to be made Action: KD

President's Report

Kim had nothing to report except that the US Tour had been successful and how great it was that 3 of the 20 ladies were from Corstorphine Ladies. She also reminded the meeting that for the Second League one team had 5 players so the skip would have to work out stand down weeks and that it had previously been decided skips would also take a stand down. Action: HD

Treasurer's Report

Janette congratulated all 12 Corstorphine Ladies participating in the Ladies Centre Bonspiel for paying so promptly. She reported that an invoice for ECC subs of £420 had not been received. But once this had been paid, and the 2nd installment of £3,990 had been paid for ice, and £1,974 collected from members who were paying in 2 installments, the bank balance would be £2187.32

Christmas Bonspiel 14 December

Theme - after a bit of thought Jane suggested the 12 Days of Christmas which was unanimously agreed.

Lunch - due to the difficulty of space and catering facilities it was agreed to go with a finger buffet.  Paul to be contacted. Action: RC

Guests - Our Associates, Evelyn Baird, Pauline Alexander and Betty Watt, to be invited. Action: RC

Format - it was agreed just the usual way but after 2 ends players move up a position. Singing in the 7th end and the 8th end to be silent.

AGM 15 March 2023

There is a problem with Cramond Kirk. Rona has inquired at St Ninian's, Corstorphine. Cost of hiring a hall will be £22.50 per hour. Still to hear if available 15 March. Kim suggested charging £4 pp and we'd have a cake competition!

• Attention was drawn to a recent selection for an external competition, and it was hoped that procedure would be followed in future whereby a reserve would be used only if insufficient full members sign up. It was explained that procedure had been followed ie, that skips had been asked who'd be willing to skip, then members were asked who'd like to be in the team. One skip replied and 5 members replied. Advice was that strong team was needed so the choice was made accordingly.

This new proposal that a reserve would only be used if insufficient full members signed up was agreed.

• Committee was asked to bolster a culture of friendliness in our Club, since we are all curling for pleasure while doing our best to play well.
